Do you ever hunt ploughed land/ farm fields?

SORRY ! Forgot to respond

I Have tried.
kind of hard with an Open coil & short corn stalks
catching inside.

Very Irritating

Corn stalks & oil seed rape are not searchable after harvest, but what about just before or just after drilling? Its all about the timing. I'm sure, with your usual time spent & dedication you could hit a few older items from the ploughed land 8) (Although I have no idea on the history of your area) :-\

it seems
Not alot of Plowing goes on here until,
they actually Plant.

even so I Do not believe my areas Fields have a chance to be Productive.

Of course there are a few exceptions,
But Timing is Everthing & So far my Timing has Sucked :laughing7:

actually the Grove we hunted
is on this Map from a History Book

& My Mother was related to
the Pioneer listed on the Map
drawn from the 1930's
Unfortunately Corn Field

See we have the reverse, I would be glad its a corn field. Most other areas are built on or unsearchable. I would follow that lead, just think of finding something your great, great family lost :o

I'm figuring somewhere between the Woodline & the Church.

since map isn't to scale & Drawn from Memory
by a Person who was there in the 30's

Cabind would date to at least mid 1700's

This year so far by the time I saw them in the field
they were Planting.

I May just try fighting the stalks
this Fall, winter or early Spring
IF I Can gain Permission.

from the History

phillip appears in the tax list 1779

1777 and 1781 served various times in militia during revolutionary war

the first baptism in the record sep. 16 1787
for one of phillips grandsons.
it is probable the congregation actually started sometime
before that date, and most likley met in phillips
home which is just north of where the present church stands
