Once upon a time ago I found a US belt plate in the mid sand there.
 

If those were uncovered, there is probably a LOT of stuff on that beach within detector range.

I was thinking the same thing. I wish I lived closer because it would be on!
 

Good thing they were uncovered by the storm. Dont want citizens to be hurt.

To bad someone did not find them that has some knowledge and have them drilled out and cleaned. Make a nice display. That crust on them cracks right off. Been some good history to save from a historical battle.

Yes glad nobody was hurt but I hate seeing them destroyed instead of dealt with in a proper manner as to save them.
 

I'm late to this post .
So I can only hoped the local Historians Did the right thing .

If I were local & had the right machine .
By now ill bet the area is closed off or HARD HUNTED!.
