I picked up 2 rolls of pennies and dimes, one roll of nickles and quarters, and 9 rolls of halves yesterday when I got them home I realized half the rolls said "no silver" on them and I thought to myself great.... The results weren't great but I found something. 1 Canadian Penny, 1 40%, and one Gold plated half?? I've never seen one so it's either plated or some weird yellow toning. Does this happen or is it plated? Thanks for getting me addicted guys ::)

Congratulations, I was at an auction Sunday and they had 3 gold plated halves. I think they went for around $6.00 apiece. I have found a gold plated Ike metal detecting.

I have found several plated halves and just put them back into circulation. If I know I could have sold them for around $6 I would have kept them. I think I will keep any from now on and put them on ebay later just to see what happens.

Showtime, congratulations on the silver half and the gold plated is an added bonus. ;)

Definately love getting face value silver!! Would be a heart stopper to see a gold plated coin in a roll. Especially if it were to be rolled up Ikes.
