I found this solid lead cube in a school lawn that has produced 1880's artifacts in the recent past. It appears to have been worked, i.e., elongated cube design with all smoothed/sanded edges. No markings on any of the flat surfaces. Weighs in at 5 ounces. Your thoughts on what this was used for? Construction or Military? Just someone passing time with a piece of lead? Thanks for any ideas, and happy hunting to all. Sub 8-)

An original Chips and Dip?
You carved your own chips instead of peeling them off the wall?

A piece of shot hammered. Is there a lead grapeshot? Maybe some civil war buffs can chime in?
