Very cool! How long has it taken to get to this point? Also, does the little blue mosquito thing on your chair actually work?

This is my first attempt at working bone,But I have been working tool for about a years..(on & off)
It took me two days to do this. For the most part it does work well. But I have yet to test it hard core..Lkie when I am digging..Billions of skeeters...lol

Here is a run down on the tools that I used....
My kit..It amazes me that I could not just make a tool(I have tryed in the past)..They sorta evolve as you use it.

Now the flake tools...When they start to get dull, all I had to do was to apply more pressure. And they would kind of micro-flake and get super sharp..A added plus is that the sheded flakes would aid in the cutting.

Some ended up as saws(they worked super well).

I love this!! Thank you. Of course, all kinds of questions come to mind. Have you done much research on methods, or are you just winging it? I like the observation of the tools evolving. "Necessity is the mother of invention"? This is such a good experiment, and thank you for sharing it. You do know you would probably starve to death if you lived back then? ;D Just joking, I have no idea how fast tools were made. Maybe a large part of thier day was sitting around making tools. That is what our thumb is for, right? Ok, enough, I admire your descion to do this, glad you noticed the critters keeping you company.

Nah I just winged it...I pretty much had the stuff,so I went at it.

In Texas ...yup I would prolly die...lol..I can knapp tools outa Tx. flint, but have a hard time with makeing points. Now if I had some Obsidian (note my avi. pic)I could pop out some pointy stuff. But then I would have to get the animal to walk into it ,as I can't shoot a bow.lol..

I think alot of stuff was made a team effort, some would shape, and pass it to the next folks to sand, thend to the next for etching..etc.The way Tribesmen make food and such on NatGeo..

I concider the critters to be the spirts ,checking up on me.....har...

I don't know if they made these or not...But it felt right...
