I believe a civilian button?

When this popped out of the ground I was certain I had a CW coat button. Anyhow, it has a couple holes in the back that appear manufactured. Are they air holes? Unfortunately, no decoration or makers mark so am pretty sure it is civilian. This my first such strange 2-piece non-military button I've recovered. Dug two pewter spoons within 15 feet also. I'm thinking I found a Victorian home site which is long gone. Thanks for any info!

Yes, it's a blow hole button... early to mid. 1700s.
