I cashed in my 2022 clad finds and along with the money I put aside for my coin collection, I went to a coin show and bought some nice additions to my collection.
I bought four Commemorative half dollars......1935 Connecticut, 1946 Iowa, 1918 Lincoln, and a 1925 Stone Mountain. Additionally, I bought a pair of common date Morgan Dollars, an 1824 Hard Times Token, an 1863 Civil War Token, and three aluminum advertising tokens, each with a brand new wheat cent in the middle from the 1940's and 1950's.

Well done!

Congratulations. Just how much clad did you dig for 2022 ?

Nice additions to your collection

Well done, at least you can now appreciate them a lot more than some everyday clad.

Thanks....I only dug $200 in clad this year which is below my average but even common clad is getting harder to find these days. The clad paid for the Stone Mountain half, the two Morgans, the Hard Times token, and the aluminum advertising tokens. The other coins cost me an additional $650.

Thanks, I've been converting clad finds to "real" coins since I started this hobby in 1983.

Coming up on 40 yrs of trading them in, must be an impressive collection that you've built up now.
I used to trade all my silver/gold finds in the early-mid 80s, but it was to fuel the habit.

I have some of the things I've bought over the years but I was a coin dealer from 1971-1995 at shows all over southern New England and in my shop. A lot of things were sold, never to be seen again. Now, I'm strictly a collector.

I bet you have some stories
