Hi, Im new to Florida and seem to have found a new hobbie... searching the beaches for shells and fossils. Can anyone ID this? Its heavy or seems to be heavy for its size.

I agree with gatorboy. You can see two grooves on the surface thats part of the pattern that the shell scales fit on the shell.
