Didn't we just ID this coin on another thread a couple of days ago?
If so, what additional questions, clarifications or information do you seek?
Don........

Hey Don, I posted it in Oct. Under my oldest coin in metal detecting but did not get any info on it. Since it was found on Ga. coast I wanted to know where it was made.

Don,
You sure about that ID? somethings amiss I see.
It's not your mind you have to worry about, just your eyesight.
I think your a year off? I got new glasses for Xmas...tho they be shot glasses, I still see a 21 instead of 22 and a 1 reales.

Happy New Year

Hello Trez,
The confusion lies in the fact that two coins are shown on that thread.
The title to the thread refers to the year 1722, but the second coin (to which I am referring) is dated 1721.
Did I just make that more confusing?
Happy New Year,
Don..

The piece in the original post is a 1721 1 Real from (homeland, not colonial) Spain, Segovia mint (aqueduct mintmark). A bit less common as a 1R than the typical finds of its bigger brother, the "pistareen" 2 Reales, in the VA/Carolinas/Georgia coastal region, but certainly not unheard of. Fairly solid condition...
