16 or more years of digging. Still haven't found a war nickel!

I found 32 underwater last summer. They are out there, patience sometimes works!

Appreciate the chuckle this evening. Congrats on your finds. And we've yet to find a war nickel! -Lisa & John

Congratulations on the War Nickel.
Even in NYC, they're not easy to find.

nice save on the war nickel....congrats !!

Not sure if it's the location or random recoveries. I don't keep track of my coinage. Forgive me. I need to gather up my finds someday and count them. I do have several War Nickels. I usually get a few every season. Sometimes days apart. Maybe a circulation thing? Dunno. Glad you got another one. I think they are cool as heck.

Congratulations on your finds, sorry about the rain. I only have one war nickel and I got that in my change a few years ago. Never have dug one.

Nice war nickel recovery! :occasion14:

Nice job on the war nickel. Some coins are just more elusive to some of us than others. I remember it took me about 10 years just to find a Barber Quarter. At the time, I actually had dug more Barber Halves, and Seated coins, but was still looking for that Quarter. One outing it finally happened, and now the flood gates are open.
