I didn't order a Wheat Donut!!

Just a quickie... got a donut the other day and got a 1948 wheatie in my change back. Still amazes me that you can find these things in common everyday change. Not worth a darn thing, but still nice to find!

In reality it really is worth more than a penny, both old penny wise and copper wise, so you got more than your pennys worth. Always nice to find a wheatie in change.

Nice. I love the wheaties. I just got a 1955 wheatie back in change today. ---another reason I try to pay with cash and not exact change---the more change you get back, the more change to look through. HH!

you don't find those wheats in change very often anymore. i got a 1944 wheat in change at walmart a few weeks ago. that made my day!

Walmart is a great place to get new state quarters too. I ask the lady at the cigarette register to look for coins for me in her drawer, she said people get hard up for smokes sometimes and bring in older coins. She said about a year ago somebody cashed in a roll of buffalo nickels to get smokes. Wish I was there after that dude.
