I don't find much jewlery.... but I found a little somthing tonight!

I haven't found much jewelry this year... but tonight I found something rather nice... and I could think of on the way home was please be real! please be real!

but I knew that something this big with this many stones couldn't be real.

I found a cross to and i didn't thank it was real come to find out it was real I got 480 bucks for it. After talking to some people on here I thank I sold it way to cheap.If it has openings on the back where the stones is.it's a good thing.post a picture of the back.After that i got me a gold test kit.LOL Mine had 19 stones in it. Make dam sure u have it check buy more than one person. Here's a picture of the one I found.

But, you're talking about gold. Kinda like apples and oranges.

One of the easiest "field tests" is, look at how the stones are mounted. Diamonds will always have retaining posts to hold them in place.
Glass is usually glued in, as are CZ's. And, even this "eyeball" test shouldn't be taken as conclusive as CZ's are often held in by posts. Also, real diamonds are seldom used in silver jewelery, but it does happen. Of course, there's "white gold", but, white gold, like yellow gold, does not tarnish, unlike silver.

BUT, it can give you an indication as to whether you should go to the bother of having a professional check it out.

Anyway, I've said a lot just to say, if the "diamonds" aren't clamped in with posts, they're probably not diamonds.
