I finally join the 1700's silver club

I know I just did make it and by just a sliver of hope but once I cleaned it off is when I realized what I had. I've been chasing the colonial silver dream for a while. I'm on some good louisiana cane fields now that should produce more. Hopefully I'll get one uncut next time.

Thanks guys. I've been on a streak lately but haven't posted in a while due to the lack of responses from people. I've found several coins and a CW boxplate in the last two weeks. My other silver coin was an 1839 o half dime. I've found more modern silver and a few nickels too. Thanks I've been after a Spanish silver for a while. Even though I only found this small part it's the best part to find... At least I could tell what century it came from. Really what's the chances of finding Spanish silver much less the chances of finding the perfect 1/8 of one that had the date on it. I'm sure that day there was no happier detectorist than me. My next one hopefully will be whole
