Detector(s) used
Garrett AT Pro, Minelab Equinox 600, Garrett Pro Pointer AT Z-Lynk, Lesche digging tools, Pack Mule finds bag by Freeloader.
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
After such a long bout with the "newest detector to the hobby" syndrome, (think AT Max and Minelabs Equinox, to name a few), I saw a For Sale on T-Net for a Garrett At Pro recently.

Let me just say that I not only got a gently used detector for a great price, I also made a new friend and fellow detectorist as a result of the transaction. and I love it!

The more I am on this site, the more I learn about so many things. And the more people I meet here, the more I can't wait to get out there and find treasure, and tell you about it!

HH & GL!

Oh crap is that where I left it.......

You have a beast at your disposal! When I want to coin shoot, slap the 5x8 on the ATP and get after it! Hit a swimming pool one day, 36 quarters in abt 90 mins...lol Didn't even have to dig half of them as they were basically on top of the ground...lol

Congrats on your new machine, you're gonna love it.

For most places, this is how I run mine (Your mileage may vary) Manual Ground Balance, Pro-Zero, disc to 26 to break up or silence nails, if possible max sensitivity and get after it! I love the AT PRO and use it as my sniper rifle to my 3030 bazooka! LOL

To Hijack your thread... This Sterling Silver WWII Flight wings sweetheart bracelet is one of my best finds with mt AT PRO... usualy on ATP silver comes in around 80-88... this was a 64..just a heads up that silver "can" come in lower on the ATP. :)

This would have been sent home by a pilot to his sweetheart, and was found abt 3-4 inches at the end of a sidewalk. (Yes I wanted to show it off, but alos wanted you to be aware that silver can come in lower than expected on your new ATP) :)

Congratualtions on the new detector...enjoy! :occasion14:

Ditto I use it for shallow water, the 5x8 coil is awesome not as much drag under water when you swing it and as OZARKS said a sniper.

Also do know that you can up your sniper game by adding a super Sniper coil only 4.5” wide.

Let me tell you...in a trashy area it is God sent as well as being able to swing closer to metal objects like play structures if you Hunt Park playgrounds.

Here is a good cheat sheet for your VDI #s in more detail then your reference on the control module

Congratulations on your new machine, I really like my ATP!

I agree that sniper coil is the best for iron patches. You do have a beast there. Congrats.

Good deals are always great! Especially when you find them here. I'm in that club, too. (Thanks again, Bryan!) 😁

Glad you got her so quick I wanted a tnetter to have it. I have found so much with her. I'm glad Ive made a new friend also keep me posted. I sent the AT PRO CD case I just realized the CD was in my lap top I can send it if you would like it. Happy Hunting my friend Tommy

Tommy,

You sold me a tremendous metal detecting machine. I'm honored to carry on her legacy. Pretty sure I went from the Ford Ranger to the F350 Super Duty 4x4! (no offense to Fisher-I love them!) An instructional video will never do her justice! Keep it! (but thanks!). Just keep an eye on my future posts. I have a feeling that they'll be epic!! 2018 is going to be great! You are a friend indeed!

Good luck may the silver and gold Gods smile upon you

Best of luck with your AT Pro. It was my first detector and found my lost wedding ring with it.
