I found brass item this along an old wagon trail

Looks like half of a Victorian ladies sash buckle.
There appears to be old attachment points in pic 2, so it probably looked something like this example.

Yep I think it's part of a late 1800's ladies buckle. I've dug pieces before and the are pretty thin. I have one somewhere with part of the belt. It was made of a black cloth.
