I found my own treasure !

Thirty years ago, in 1978...I bought a Treasure sensor 4000. This was around the time that the Hunt brothers tried to corner the silver market and silver coins were 25 times face value . I bought the metal detector with the idea of exploring some of the forgotten beaches in my area that have been inactive since the 50's.
I read the user manual and it recommended studying the history of my area,so I picked up an OLD book and started studying the book then visiting the sights.The book was over 100 years old and reading the old english was pretty tiring,so I would read up,take the metal detector and go explore the sight. I live in an area that is extremely rich in obscure history that resides near the top of the Chesapeake bay ( deserted mansions, a deserted Indian fort,two old canals and even an island visited by Captain John Smith. The first 5-6 trips,I faithfully took the metal detector. Eventually ,because they were historical sights..I stopped taking the metal detector and still had a lot of fun. I think I found two silver coins.Followed
by a long pause in treasure activity.
Well , on Saturday I ordered a Whites 5ID. I am hoping it arrives by the weekend. So does my new wife....she is going to be my treasure hunting partner....She is terrific!

great finds, i have a hunting partener, but seeing as there is only the one detector it can get agravating because i am hyper and he takes to long to pinpoint, i want to just push the coil outa the way and GET GIGGIN. lol you 2 will have a blast this summer...HH tlc
