You guys were talking about the Liberty Commemorative Half.... I thought... hummm what is that.... I wanted one so tonight one of my boxes spit one out for me.... I was very happy and that was the only thing it spit out.
It is not hte year htat makes it clad or silver on a commem. It is hte mint mark.
NOrmally the D is clad, and the S is silver. At leat on most of them. Both are worth ... about hte SAME price though. They are NOT melt value coins, but sell for more. I think I saw the SOL commem about $6 for teh clad and $6.50 for the silver. Both above melt, but both below where they were a few years ago. Commems are down in price right now, which may be why peple are dumping them. THey are realizing tha they are impossible to resell, and not worht what they paid for them. So, in disgust they dump hem, using them for $0.50.
Not a bad find though. (I Paid $7 for mine, years ago, when i was naive! LOL)
