I found this today. Does anyone know what it is? It is 1 1/8 inch tall and 2 1/2 wide and solid brass.Broke off on bottom.

That is the knob from the handle of a fishing reel. Or a choke handle knob. Unless the hole doesn't go all the way through, if that's the case I don't know.

My son said it broke off his sword handle. It was on a hill in my backyard when I was weeding I found it. I don’t really know though. Thank you for your input!
