A little windfall gain, thought I'd share.
My mother was a bank teller for many years, and people would come in with tins full of wheats they'd find in the yard, just to trade in at face value. The tellers would divide them up and take them home. She would have gotten more, but it was just a neat thing to her and let others have most of them.
I mentioned today I collected copper pennies, and she said I could have all her wheats. yay! Haven't counted but it's a healthy helping.
PSA: if you're looking for wheat pennies, just get a job at the bank! :P But it is the direct route. I know once I dig up a wheat from the ground it's going in a special place.
