Hi everyone, it's been a while since I've been out with the detector, but the sun was shining for a change and the farmer has lots of fields going spare. The first field I went to this morning was about 10 acres or so and still a bit wet, but I thought I would give it a try. I did think it was a bit quiet for the first few yards, then I remembered to turn the headphones on:laughing7:. Things improved straight away, turned the volume up, dug my boot out of the sticky mud and started finding stuff. This field gave me 2 sixpences, East African 10 cent coin, several pistol balls, a Navy button late 18th early 19th century and a French Jetton dated about 1380-1400 or so. I moved to the drier field next door and found a George III halfpenny, lead spindlewhirl and some other bits. I'm going to have a go at a couple of new fields tomorrow, weather permitting.

Good to see you getting back out Mate, and having a good day as well.:headbang: coming to Essex on thursday, but will only be there a couple of hours.

Glad that you've found your Mo Jo, now look after it. All the best. Hutch.

Glad to see you back at it & in a field with plenty of targets. The Navy Button is a nice one!

Thanks for the comments guys:thumbsup:, I had planned to go out detecting today but the weather was against me. The 2 new fields back on to the sea wall facing north and what with the wind and rain coming straight off the North Sea I thought I would leave detecting until tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be better then, fingers crossed:laughing7:.

Hi Cru, I found another Navy button about a year or so ago but this one has lots more gilt and the words "Double Gilt Stand Colour"
