This morning on my way to a site that I've detected before I saw dumpster setting on a driveway at house that was in the process of being remodeled. I decided to work the public grassy area between the sidewalk and curb.
As I was working my way down the grassy strip a man in a truck drove up and got out. I walked over and ask him if he was the owner/contractor, which he reply yeah. I introduced myself and told him that I was a retired real estate agent/builder/land developer and that my new hobby was metal detecting. He said that he remembers the name of my company and after a little chit chat I asked him if it would be OK for me to detect the yard. He said no problem and jump in his truck and left.
I didn't set the woods on fire, but I did manage to find 4 silver coins, 8 wheat pennies and some clad coins.
