I started out early today it’s about an hour drive so I decided to do something productive and listened to part one and part two about the ATMaxx. I never read a manual in my life..sad but true. And by doing that I learned that I don’t have to always use Zero Mode. So I was going to try the Coin Mode with the notched they already had pre-set notched out tonight show tabs and bottle tops. So I went to a very old historic well known tree in City Park that I might’ve went once or twice with my other detectors and then find anything way too much noise always working and zero mode. Well I’m here to tell you I got a deep deep signal 20 feet from this historic tree that people hung at in the 1800’s. And I mean literally hung at it’s called Suicide Oak. IMG_1220.webp Oak in City Park

“There are quite a few historic oaks trees in City Park, most of which have a history stained by bloodshed and the Suicide Oak is no exception to this trend. However, unlike the history behind the Dueling Oaks, the Suicide Oak’s bloodshed is self inflicted. As it is hinted by the name, the Suicide Oak was a popular spot to take one’s life in the old Creole days of New Orleans, Louisiana. Although no famous suicides took place here, it was the frequent spot for spurned lovers or bankrupted fortunes to end their lives and it was usually by pistol or poison.”

I learned that everybody wants to go deep but you also half to be prepared to dig it and with the clay and the oyster shells it gets rough. I’m starting to believe New Orleans was built on oyster shells, so they ate a lot of oysters. Not sure what it is but from the location and the depth I’m just happy that it’s old and I got it at that spot. The rest of the day was a smorgasbord of a little bit of everything. No silver and unfortunately no real gold. Silver at this park is impossible they must’ve cleaned out all the high tones in 80s but they missed a lot of mid tones. The ATmax is a Mid tone Monster. I did get a Buffalo...first one at this park normally get all V Nickels. The ATMaxx also will hit the smallest of smallest things. I hit that tiny Mother Mary at about 9 inches and that’s without lying. I mean my name is Truth1253.

If anybody knows what this might be just let me know I’m happy no matter what. I had two hours to believe I found a buckle until I got back at the truck and cleaned it. But boy did that feel good. IMG_1194.webpIMG_1195.webpIMG_1193.webp

Whatever this was was well over a foot deep. And I used my 5”x8” coil the whole time. IMG_1202.webp
