I had HELL today!!!!!

I could not get my vaquero to ground balance today to save my @ss,,, there was so much junk in the soil I could not lower the coil anywhere without it going bonkers!!!! What are you suppose to do in this case ? can any one help out on this? I mean I was about ready to cartwheel it across the yard!!!,,,, any help would be great,,,

I've had that happen a couple times, I just turn the GB all the way down(till the pot drags) then turn it up positive about 1 1/2- 2 turns, kind of a happy medium. Works for me.

Ya thats kind of what I did also,, it kind of worked,, but it about drove me nutz!!! made me want to just put it back in the car for awhile,,,

Use a small coil and hold it high. You loose depth but cover such a small area that you can work around the junk . I had to do this at an old drive-in where the surface was packed so coins and junk weren't deep. Got me a little silver . Jim
