Found this at an old baseball field. It’s made of steel 5” Long. Looks like a clothes pin. Any idea what it might have been used for?

Yup. thats a hurricane fence gate latch thats squashed flat.

The old baseball basis had heavy straps to tie them down and these clips were used to clip the tail ends under the base once installed.
