I went out for a few hours this morning to the place that I found my first mercury dime. Decided to use all metal mode and after digging some rebar, cans and nails for an hour I found this button my gut tells me it's a replica but I don't know much about buttons.

Absolutely no reason to think that is not genuine.
 

The reason I thought it was fake was cause the under side is blank and the pics I see on google have stamped logos on the bottom.

That style of button is dated form the mid 1870's to the 1900's as it was used by Militia's. It is a fine example that is intact and readable.
