I just bought my first gold pan

I've never done this but have been watching videos and it looks fun. I live in SE michigan near the Huron River so I figured I would try there. I doubt I'll ever find any gold here but I want to try anyway because it just seems like a lot of fun.

Michigan was covered by the same glaciers that covered Indiana for the most part, so you should find some.

I've heard good things about the Huron. Caution: do your research on the rules in MI, they are pretty specific about what you can do in many waterways due to fish concerns I think.
