There is no nice way to tell the truth. According to the link I posted, the imported padlock sells for $6.95. It is not old nor is it a reproduction. Its a fantasy piece. Possibly misattributed when it was sold to you. Misattribution can be intentional or unintentional.

I dont know how good the lock is but it would have to be a pretty good lock for that price. My guess the cuffs are also fantasy. I guess its made as curiousity piece to hang on the wall or something. :dontknow: My rule of thumb if not sure at flea markets is to only buy if its real cheap. You could try reselling it to get back your money. One sold on eBay for $38 listed as a new reproduction... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...e&rt=nc&si=AvC%2F8Yh2DB4gONiXjnKDb6c%2FRPk%3D Make sure you list it properly. Thats the beauty of selling at the flea market once a year. Buyers have no way of complaining. ::) Who knows, he may sell ten fantasy sets every weekend.
