Yep, I love clam. You can eat them in many different ways: you can slurp on them raw, have 'em fried, with linguini, casino... I also like clams because that's about all I found at a supposed 1655 landing spot. It was completely overgrown (85%) so I had very little area to swing. But I did get a nice sunrise ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1464635272.216521.webp

I found a few modern silvers, a bell, and some other stuff, but the find I love most is...

When you're looking for Massachusetts Silver and life gives you clams, make some Dang chowder 'der bub!

Lol.

Please give a moment to those that gave everything for their country today.

Enjoy and good digs

Great post!! Love the sunrise. Would love the clams if I'd have been there. Looks like you had a great day. I as well. Been lying by the pool with the little Misses and viewing t-net on my phone.

Nice job Steve. One way or the other, there is good in every hunt !

Clams for all! I second "Please give a moment to those that gave everything for their country today."

You don't find a vulture in a hole every day... I would have run like hell at the sight of that looking back at me!

Looks like a great Clam day Steve. Treasure is where you find it and today your treasure is of the edible kind. My tongue is slapping me silly wanting to taste some of that chowder. It's nice to see you enjoying some quality time with the family this Memorial Day. Kudos to you bro.

Kevin's brother-in-law says hello. :hello:

Awesome post. Nothing like a pan of garlicky linguine with clam sauce. Looks like you and your son had a fun day.

Looks like a nice day Scrappy. I was out digging for a bit today and had a little game of peek a boo with a young gopher. It was fun, and it was a beautiful day.

Congrats on seeing so many cool things today, and spending quality time with your son.

I'm glad a few could appreciate my post. It's a destination each time we hunt, and finds are only part of the journey. Or some **** like that...lol

All I know is if you base your enjoyment on just finds, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. Through time I've learned to enjoy (almost) whatever comes out of the ground, and all the fun crap that happens between the beginning and end of the hunt.

Nice post! Thought I might see your son scoop up some gold rings LOL. Send some of the chowder up here !! ;-)

Cool box turtle!

Great post man! Clams and time with the son is way better than a couple silvers and a bell. That well looking thing looks like a cistern to me... could be some cool bottles if you scratch around down there... but no bottle is worth doing battle with the beast and her babies in that hole. :laughing7:

That's some down home multitasking! Yum!

I dropped the bell. Or my son stole it out of my pouch (more likely). Either way, there's no picture but it was a sweetheart of a bell. It probably would have made banner, lol.

Cheers bud

Clam chowder is an absolute favorite of mine. Must be nice to have a back-up treasure when the metal detecting doesn't pan out. All I manage to recover are ticks and chiggers on my dry days!
