I stopped by a local thrift shop today, and saw a few interesting pieces, but this one just jumped up at me and said BUY ME. It's a strange looking wooden figure that looks hand carved and well worn. It's about 16" tall, and there are no identifying marks anywhere on the piece. I'm a bottle and glass guy, and have no idea what to call this piece. The words figure or statue come to mind, as does the term folkart, but how would you describe this odd looking piece in an ebay auction? The base has a good sized gouge, but I think that just adds to the character of the piece. BTW, I paid $5 for it. Thanks in advance!
