Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket lower rod for the excalibur that is longer than 24 inches? I'm 6'4" tall, and I'm finding that I need another 4 to 6 inches of reach.

(and my son Kenny had all sorts of laughs while I tried to come up with how to explain that my shaft was not long enough)

Thanks,

Jim

You probably could have gotten a fiber glass one from Whites for ten bucks.

made my own.its simple if your a handy person, painted her greeeen.all your paint handles and broom sticks and such "dont"work diameter of tubing is not the same tried 3 or 4 of them.you need 7/8in. dia all the paint handles and broom sticks are 3/4in or 1in..ace hardware some carries 7/8 .home depot and lowes "does not".if you want to go high tech use "titanium" tubing stronger and lighter, and cost alot more about $20 a foot or so.my rule of thumb standing straight up with coil should be almost tall as you

Go to a hobby shop like colonial photo and hobby, buy a carbon fiber tube. They sell them in 3 foot sections. The tubes are used for tail booms on r/c helicopters. They dont break or crush, you can cut it down to size with a hack saw or miter saw with a fine tooth blade.Plus the tube is super light weight.
