I need to know if Geo Reberger from Cook/ Kane county Illinois died in the Civil War

So 1 of the names that caught my eye on the 1861 Chicagoland map was where the 140 or 142 Acre parcel of Geo Rebegger was. But I started searching proper spelling of names and i think " Rebegger" was misspelled while the RIGHT spelling should be Reberger . Or similar ?
Anyway, I encountered 1 online super-long document with Civil War Soldiers as well as who was conscripted and who was not. Also who died in the War.
Spent like 50 minutes looking and didn't see that he actually died.... or being drafted.
At the same time I don't see any descendants.of his in the subsequent Property maps!
Neither in the search engines for graves....
But the name drawing symbolism related to " berg" which is mountain or hill, His property did encompass the Lowest ( i bet to his disappointment back then ) land slope of the ridge that is actually like 0.4.mile further upslope where apparently must have been already taken.

Or maybe he was already too old to be drafted in the war? Because his name is the one on the Parcel...

Its for Comparison study only. But I will be curious to also know if Geo Reberger had a house in Elgin, IL prior to 1861. Also what happened to his family? Cause I don't imagine he settled on/ purchased 140 acres just to sit there alone.
