It sure looks like half of a point to me.
 
Looks a lot like what is called a Gary in your area.
 
Looks like you're on to something! Thinking you will find more of the same wherever you found that broken one!
 
Thanks for the replies, Ive always thought there had to be some Indian related items on the property. We bought the house and 13 acres a couple years ago and I have read a lot of history on the area, about Indian Raids back in the 1800's. We had our share of flooding rain back a couple months ago and we are finding a lot of items that have been hidden under the dirt. I just happened upon this today while Dove Hunting. I am very excited to see what else I can find now.
 
Good call on it being a Gary... that's a safe bet.
I've found some weak-shouldered Wells that match your base as well.

And if you like "possible", you may get away with calling it a Pontchartrain base... Times have changed since 1935, there have been a couple of them show up north of Interstate 20.
