Well done congratulations

Probably best to upload to youtube and link from there

Looks good to me. I know Rolex is counterfeited like crazy, but this one looks like it has been worn for many decades.

We need more detail! What’s the story? That Rolex band is real IMO. It was made in 1968 based on the numbers seen. You can look up the numbers on the band and the links to get a value of the band alone. You scored big!
You can also check out Omegaforum and ask questions. They have a large number of Rolex collectors as well and can guide you. Restoration on a vintage Rolex is expensive, but can be worth it. But DO NOT SEND TO ROLEX!!! They will replace all of the vintage parts with new parts and it will kill the reason why collectors value the watch. You can be pointed in the direction of experts who will have original vintage crystals etc...

Well the thrift store I go to puts their jewelry in jars after they pulled what gold and silver they see (sometimes they're not very good at it lol) so I noticed this plus some other items in the jar and was priced at $20 since my wife works there I get it half price I adjusted the band as big as it would go but still too tight I assume it's not a big deal to get an extra link put into it?

Excellent! My best scores have come from those jars! I got a Rolex band on a rather cheap watch 2 years ago! It won’t be a big deal to get an extra link. Should cost under $500 maybe.

received_1058778211199171.webp this was also in the jar all but the bracelet are 14 k and weighs 7g but not sure what the watch weight is as I haven't taken it apart but It still works too! The bracelet is 925 and is 76g

Now that's one for the thrift store finds records. Congratulations.

Back in the early 80's I picked up a fake, and knew it was a fake - got it pretty cheap for arm bling.

Danged thing started falling apart shortly after purchase - don't even know if I still have it somewhere.....

Does the second-hand spin smoothly, without any small incremental movement? If so, your chances of it being the real mc coy improves

A freaking Rolex from a jewelry jar are you kidding me! It looks 100% original in a banner score for you. I do recommend it be serviced. I think the date is from the mid 60s and it appears to have the original bracelet too.

In good condition they list between 3k to 6k based on condition. I wouldn't think 1-2k is out of the question on that but its worth having an expert opinion on. Nice Find for sure!

A Rolex in a thrift store jewelry jar?! Amazing.....congrats!

Very, very nice score! Gold, silver, and valuable vintage watch...Sweet!!

Looks good to me also. THe Air King is the cheapest model Rolex makes But still a very nice score I dont think 2K is out of line for it. Band links can be had for $60 Dont restore the dial or hands Originality is very important. I personally would do nothing to it. Polishing even effects the value

Incredible and amazing score! I agree with everyone, it's real! Congratulations. It's beautiful as it is, do not restore in any way. Let the big money do that, after they pay you big money for it! :-)

I found a very similar Rolex in the glove compartment of a used Volvo I bought. Worked for a week, then stem broke. I now sits in a draw. (I would have returned it except I caught the seller s******ing about how he had screwed me on the car)

PS, undo the band, there should be a serial number on the case where the band attaches. That will tell you a lot.

It looks nice, but I couldn't tell a real from a fake. Hope its real for you. Great score.
