WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) -- A family court judge in New Zealand has had enough with parents giving their children bizarre names here, and did something about it.

Just ask Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii. He had her renamed.

met a chief from the Heckarewe tribe years and years ago when I was a young whupper. He always showed up at my Grandfathers ranch on a horse with this dog laying across the saddle. After seeing the Indian many times and never seeing the dog get down from the saddle, I talked the Indian into getting the dog down so I could play with him. Well, as soon as the dogs feet touched the ground he lit off across the desert like a ball of lightning! He ran right off a nearby cliff and fell to his death.

To this day, I'll never forget as the Indian walked over and looked over the edge of the cliff, and with a tear in his eye and said "Doggone"
