I found this on a suspected house site in the middle of a field that was also part of a Union camp. I found quite a few three ringers and other bullets nearby but I don't think this is Civil War era. I could swear I've seen one of these Id'ed on here before but my memory isn't what it used to be. Anyone recognize it? Looks like a cap to something with a small hanger. It's very narrow. Only 3/16" wide and about 3" long. Has some scroll work on one side and faint traces of gold guilt left. Made of brass.
