I was super busy the first half of this year and the crazy rain has kept me out of the rivers for the most part. Finally got to go out to the mill/park where I found a gold ring around this time last year and after digging dozens of square nails, square nuts, and pieces of broken glass (remember to always wear your gloves!) I had a signal, I looked up at my brother and said "this is gonna be the gold" and opened my hand to find this shiny ring. I must be psychic! There is no way I knew there was a ring in the handful of gravel through the thick rubberized gloves, but I just had a feeling. I was like when you're playing darts and you know you've hit a bullseye the second it leaves your hand, then THUNK! These are the moments I live for.

As far as trash goes I'd rather dig square nails and old mill hardware than round nails and pull tabs!
