This seems to be the weekend for test runs on the Excalibur... Took mine to Lake Weir, here in central Florida... I can't believe how easy it was to use this machine right out of the box. It has been a few years since I have swung a coil, and I have to say, it was just like it was yesterday... I didn't get any gold, but will settle for a nice sterling silver ankle bracelet and some clad stuff for the first run... BTW, according to the store clerk, these swim trunks are supposed to repel alligators..

Congrats on the nice bracelet. You did better than I did yesterday first time out! So far I love the machine and it seems very promising and easy to use! Good luck and keep us posted!!

Nice fist hunt!

Jewelry on the first hunt is always nice. Good luck with your new machine.

Ocaliman!
Yessiree! I have a pair nearly the same's them trunks only PURPLE and I can say without reservation I NEVER had any Gator problems in'em. I swings an Excal too. New jes like yours becept I got a balanced shaft from Bill Babb on the way for a retrofit and Fourth Week @ Myrtle Beach S. C.
Great finds in that little ankle bracelet. I nabbed a nice .925 girls ring on the second signal I ever dug with the Excal and can't wait for more!
Keep Swingin!

Thanks guys... I believe that I picked up those trunks at the "Ugly shorts for Pasty Old Dudes-R-Us.. I just couldn't understand why they were in the "Bargain Bin".. BTW.. Just a helpful hint from your ole' Uncle Ocali... wear gloves when you dig... I wen't out yesterday, and wouldn't you know it, but a broken beer bottle tends to stay sharp and will cut the #$%^ out of your hand when you least expect it.. "Cut" a days hunting real short... no pun intended..
