My Sweet Wife had to work until 2:00pm today, and it was ice raining. I decided to go jump in the creek and hunt another old swimming area I was told about. On the way there I passed this old house that I've always wanted to hunt and there was a car there. Hit the breaks and turned around. An 80+ year old man answered the door and said his Brother had hunted the whole place, but if I wanted to give it a try, go for it.
After 2 hours and only finding one wheat Penny and one new penny I was getting a little discouraged. I only had a small square of the front yard left to hunt that was about 15' x 15'.
After working up the first side close to the tree and the road Bam!! A sweet sounding signal on My Ctx. Only 3" deep and there it was. This is what makes this Hobby so addictive. You never know what You'll get Your coil over. Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting!!! Oh I almost forgot-----"Yessssssssssss!!!!!!!"
And Yes that's ice on My bumper.

And so You know, insulated chest waders and long johns make great hunting in snow and ice in the water, and it's in the water and not frozen solid plus no swimmers.

Thought both Sword Plates were the same, but I have two different types.

Wow! Outstanding find! Congratulations, just goes to show it's never hunted out.

Great finds. Another reason I don't get to discouraged if I'm told it's already been searched.

BAM! Relic DREAM come true. Huge congratulations on that gorgeous piece of American history in excellent condition. Also well done to not give up on the sight due to lack of old targets. It only takes one find to make a permission KILLER. You found it buddy. Darned happy for you.

INCREDIBLE buckle, congrats!!!

I found that exact Tootsie Toy jeep too, although yours is in better shape. Mine also came with a buckle, but nowhere near as beautiful as yours:

Great job!

Talk about a place beong hunted out. You just never know how efficient the guy before you was or what machine was being used.
The buckle says it all,, when talking about "Hunted Out Sites"
Congratulations on your finds.

Congrats on the great looking buckle.

Congrats on that fully intact belt plate. That is a beauty. That could have been an undetected yard, and that would have been a great find. It only makes it better, because someone else missed it !
