✅ SOLVED ID AND DATING OF A COPPER DOME BUTTON W/ SHANK

I found this yesterday at an early 1800s farm site.

It’s heavy, weight equals 5.9 grams ( 0.21 ounces)
Whites V3i VDI = 75
Also there appears to be a letter “D” on the backmark

I did as you said and cleaned out the second hole (see below). I thank you for your expert help. I am very excited because this is the oldest relic I've found in my 3 years of detecting.

Congratulations. I don't think I have ever found one. But, I've only been detecting a little over 45 years!
