Definitely a yankee Merrill Carbine bullet.

BTW, technically it isn't a Minie-ball, because it lacks a base-cavity large enough to expand outward into the gunbarrel's rifling-grooves.

It's okay that it doesn't have the expanding base-cavity, because the Merrill was a breechloading rifle, and thus the bullet didn't need to expand into the rifling.
