ID Help Please.

I am putting together a small rock, fossil, Indian relic collection for my 10 year old nephew. I am having a major brain fart and can't remember the name of this one. It is about the size of a quarter. Thanks

It appears to be a calcite rose although several other minerals have a similar growth habit. A drop of vinegar on an unobtrusive part should produce bubbles within an hour if it's calcite.

Barite rose is another possibility, as Clay says.

Yes, barite comes in many forms, colors. I thought calcite too.

Doesn't Gypsum form that way as well?

Looks like a selenite rose to me...could be calcite or barite, but barite would be noticeably very heavy for its size.
