this is may 3rd try
while t-net was down i went out metal detecting and found this point
i am not if its a knife, small spear head or what
i think its call an atl-atl point
can someone let me know anything about it and what the value would be

It appears to be an archaic period knife. The Indian had a preference for one side as shown by the difference in the the resharpening of the edges. It's a good find but common and would not have a lot of value. I'd guess less than $10. But I'm basing all of this on the perspective of my part of the country (deep south).
 
It is a crude point with damage but, an arrowhead non the less. Not much value if any. Just enjoy it for what it is and go find some more! Congrats.

FWIW and just my two cents....but I don't see the damage?? The tip appears to have become rounded as part of the extensive resharpening. Just looks like a complete nearly, but not quite, used up knife.
