While metal detecting a field in NJ today, I eyeballed this marble. It doesn’t look like the ones I usually find. I have high hopes that it is a good one. Any ID assistance is most appreciated

It has a little circle on it, I’m sure you will let me know what that is called.

Hi Tom! That's a lined crockery marble. Some folks call them jaspers. Yours has a lot of color and a good pattern, it's probably worth somewhere between $25-$50. The circle is odd, if it is glazed, then it's probably where the marble sat while it was fired. It may also be super glue from where someone had it glued to a display or piece of artwork (seen that several times on other marbles).
