Ideas Anyone?

Get her a heavy duty canvas bag that will withstand the weight of the coins.

I once was a district manager for a gas station chain, and we routinely carried $14,000 a day to the bank...in a fast food bag or two.

Fail. Is your Grandmother a former wrestler/body builder? Two boxes is over 50lbs, not exactly grannies coin purse... Get a roller suit-case or strap it to the back of her Rascal Scooter.

No need to be so harsh on Clovis. He was just helping out.

Yikes..those things are heavy ..I would worry about people seeing her thou..to many crazies out there.

Why don't you team up with her? She can provide the capital to buy the halves and you can carry them for her and help her search. You guys can split the proceeds.

That's the problem. She lives two hours north of where I am. I was going to search some where I live and she is going to search some where she lives. I guess we'll have to see how good a suitcase will be. Thanks for the ideas everyone!

Have her ask on of the guys that work in the bank to help her carry them to the car. I'm sure they will be happy to do it. I did that when I was recovering from my hip surgeries.
Just a thought

Who said that she needed to carry all of the boxes in just one trip to the car???????

Perhaps I should clarify:

Get her a heavy duty canvas bag that will withstand the weight of the coins. If carrying all of the coins at one time is too heavy for your grandmother, she can place either the entire box, just the amount of rolls that she can carry to the car. All of this depends, of course, on how much she is able to carry at once time. She can make multiple trips from the teller station to the car, until she has possession of the entire order.

I fully agree with Rileyboy. If she is an account holder, the head teller should ensure that she receives proper services. One of my pick up banks even brings out the boxes and places them in my truck when only the drive thru is open. They unlock their front doors, and wheel out my boxes. It is very nice.

Otherwise, have her find another bank.

Just my thoughts,

I'm confused? JJ is like 15 so Grandma could be like in her 50's so when you hear grandma I think most of us imagine a little old lady.

So no difference weather she's a man or woman. She should only handle what she can carry. If this is a problem for her than she needs to find another hobby.

Just saying..... No offence.
