Identification Help

Hello,

Looking for some id help re these artifacts - they are a few of many collecting over generations by an Essex, MA family on their property. I have my ideas but would like to hear from the group.

2nd pic on right is a grooved plummet/net weight... not sure of the names of the individual points and blades.

Thanks, yes ... I did know. I'm trying to identify time periods. Would the stone plummet be from one of the Archaic periods? Also, there seems to be some mystery about the uses of plummets. Most say they are fishing weights but some are not so sure.

The points in the photos, I'm trying to get some idea of the time frame .... some, they seem to resemble Stark/Merrimac typology, but my knowledge and eye isn't good enough to discern the subtle distinctions of point typology.

Your points are tied in to the Late Archaic Period to Early Woodland. You have several Poplar Island points and the one in the last picture on the right is a Meadowood arrowhead.....................Hope this clears things up for you........................GTP....

More from the Essex, MA site - any ID help would be appreciated. This Essex, MA site is only 2-3 miles from the epic Bull Brook CLovis site, but I know none of these are from that period.
