In most of the photos, there seems to be some transparency in the parts of the stone... meaning, you can see down through/into the stone. If that
is right, along with the "banding," then yes, you found one of the many varieties of agate.

Yes metamorphic as Icewing noted. Generally identified as Gneiss. Probably originated from Canada and dropped off at the location you found it by a glacier. No doubt it's older than dirt.
