Identify this rock/gemstone please???

Hi
Wondering if anyone can identify this strange rock please. Recently obtained in Thailand and suspect it comes from Burma
Its round ish light sandstone colour on bottom and black for top two thirds
When a light is shined through the black it looks bluish purple
