If You Can't Find Gold In The Wet...TRY THE DRY

004.webp005.webp013.webp015.webpI have really been on a run lately. Found four gold rings the first week of December. This past week I've been putting in long hours trying to keep the streak going. Four hunts this week 15 hrs. in the wet sand and nothin' but junk, cell phone, needle nose pliers, roach clips, fishin' weights...you name it. So I said "today is going to be a dry sand hunt" and bingo a nice rose gold 14K band pops out 4.5g. Just walkin' open field where you wouldn't normally hunt...Luck's still with me... :)

Hi Rich,
Great find on the ring!

The city should hire you as a beach cleaning machine. Good job!

Congrats nice ring! Make sure the life guards or beach patrol sees the "harmful" stuff your cleaning off the beach for them free of charge, may help you out down the line! That's a lot of hunting!

Congrats on the gold, but I'm kinda liking "Eleanor"

Sweet Stang. oh and nice ring too.

"Eleanor" was saved from 6" down in the wet sand...One of many from the 'Lost Vehicle Lot'........:)

Nice gold band...you've been doing some digging...that's what it takes to get the gold.

Gold is where you find it.
I have found as many lead sinkers on dry land as on wet sand/shallow water hunting.
Suspect that they are from tackle box spills.

Nice assortments of finds and congrats on the 14K!

I'd get those pictures printed and framed and hung in a series on the wall!
It tells a cool story!
HH!

The thing is that you can never actually know where the rings are at. It seems like during the dull winter months you can find just as many dry sand rings. Crazy huh? Happy hunting and congratz
