"iffy" signals produce silver and gold
Went to my favorite old amusement park woods again today. Not much left in the little section I've been searching. So I concentrated on those "iffy" signals. You know, the ones where you're not sure what they are, but they have possibilities. I dug a few nickel signals that turned out to be wads of aluminum foil. It took a while before I found anything worthwile. Finally, a fluky nickel signal produced a little pickle fork.

Then a funny penny/dime signal turned out to be a very worn 1927 Standing Liberty Quarter, which was 5 or 6 inches deep and on edge.

The last find was another fluky nickel signal about 7 inches deep, which turned out to be a little 10k gold ring.

These were the only good finds I made for the whole afternoon, but it sure was worthwhile. That Standing Liberty Quarter was the 589th silver coin that I've gotten out of these woods. HH
