Ignore those pulltabs!!

Went to an inland beach today.Dug several poptops,a few coins and three peices of jewelry.The best,a 10k mens ring w/2 small diamonds rang in at a solid 22vdi.A gold plated st christofers and silver plated brooch w/several small stones didn't even register!!So ignore those poptops.I"ll take em!!!DBULL

Actually, I have always considered the square pulls on newer soda cans as tabs and the older ring w/zip strip (1963-1973) as a poptop.Even though these were supposedly produced only 10 years,they must have made a gazillion of em!They were banned mainly because people would drop them in water and fish would strike them as they would a lure.Thanks D tab vdi=22-24 poptop vdi=28-32

Buffett called it a poptop so we called them poptops, even though I have never referred to a coke as a pop. When you're from Alabama, all canned non-alcoholic drinks are "cokes."
